Rage

I am usually a cool person. Sometimes I just lost it. One month at home doing nothing with no indication of my next venture, coupled with impending problems with our legal system, I just lost it.

And the worst is I took it out on my Mew.

Although she sometimes can be lazy and does not act like how a pet should perform, I should not have behaved how I had this morning.

Anyway, it is the Cold War between me and my Mew now. Only thing I can say is I am sorry.

what happened to last 3 months?

I just realised that my last last entry was June 27, 2009! What happened to the last 3 months? It is 15 Sept 2009 now!

Death of King of Pop

RIP Michael Jackson!

In honour of his death I drank myself silly last night. One whole bottle of Tuak in one breath! My head hurt like hell this morning. Well, actually it was a Gawai celebration where they had a Tuak drinking competition. Immediately high after the one full bottle of Tuak.

Watching MJ in action in his hit MTVs is a real treat. He is only 50 yesterday when he died. The last 10 years or so the world was not kind to him, all the negative publicity to sell more papers. Come to think of it, MJ was at his peak when he was my age.

This made me sick of myself, I always thought I could achieve more, not just another wage earner 9 to 5, living as times goes by, not leaving a foot print in the history of mankind.

What was my dream? I can't even remember. To become a millionaire? That all seemed so shallow. Nowadays I have this calling t drop everything and go join some disaster relief effort, or maybe go to Tibet and die of old age.

That need money too I suppose, lets get back to work.

GAWAI FESTIVAL

Working in Sarawak there is a festival not to be missed. Gawai festival aka Harvest Festival for the locals.

The actual day is 1st and 2nd of June each year, however the celebration usually takes up to one week. And as the local Dayaks contribute to half of Sarawak's population, you can rest assured that not much work will be achieved during the week. Even local food stalls are closed due to shortage of labour.

People go back to their long houses and celebrate with food and booze, it is a happy festival. Me? stuck in a small cabin looking at my deserted site. At night go out with friends for a few beers.

Festival don't really excite me anymore. I need a life!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEW MEW!

Everyone knows I have a cat. She is called MEW MEW. I love the cat very much and MEW MEW's birthday is tommorrow. I am not with her. I know she will be upset.

Well, I can't take my cat everywhere I go, especially on business trip.

MEW MEW has been with me for more than 7 years. I am practically married to her. She is my comfort when I am upset, she consoles me when I am down.

I promise to treat her well for the rest of her life.

I have a friend

I have a friend, let's call him Andy. He has a dream, he dreamt that he will suceed before he was 30 years old.

He dreamt that he will be married, with one million in his bank account and driving an expensive car by the time he is 30 years old.

He graduated from University at the age of 23, most of his peers graduate only at 25, so he is 2 years ahead of his friends.

He worked hard and he kept dreaming. 7 years gone by and there he was, married, a partner of a company with a turnover of 2 million a month, and drives a reasonably expensive car, more expensive than the cheap national cars most fo his peers were driving.

Things were good until Andy was 30 yo. Things turned for the bad when the company could not collect enough to pay off the Creditors. Andy's marriage failed. Company went bust. No more fancy car.

All happened in 2 years time, the worst 2 years Andy suffered, with creditors sending debt collectors to collect at his office, at his office, sometimes middle of the night. Andy's house was splashed with red paint by one of the debt collectors. He thought GOD had abandoned him.

Well, that is only the beginning of the story...

2009 1st Quarter Review

Again, only phrase I can find is "Time Flies!". before I can update for the fun of Chinese New Year 2009 and Valentine's day 2009 etc it is end of March 2009, 1st quarter of 2009 ending this week.

Manage to recharge myself last week while I was on R&R, away from work for a week is refreshing, tiring as chores at home being piled up after 6 weeks away from home.

1st quarter review :

well, for starters, I did not loose any weight...

Last week back in KL was exciting, some events were down right depressing, but eventful nontheless.

Suppose to pay the great South a visit with my cat, GOLD COAST! Was really looking forward to it but had to cancel the trip last minute due to reasons cannot be revealled here.

But it was sheer luck I did not end up in Goldcoast, or else I would missed out a trip to Ipoh because someone close was hospitalised suspect of Denggi. Spent a night in the hospital with the patient.

Then my little brother got his 2nd son, my sister in law gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. had to rush back to KL, spend another half a day in the hospital, but for different reason.

The day after I have to attend an interview with a professional association I am attached to. the interview went well, with 2 old guy breathing down my neck, and then a 3 hour essay writting, hand was sour.

After all that, have to return to the place I am currently at... sigh, work again...
